Print Giveaway, Interview, Review Option, and a Price Drop

Book cover: Hidden Secrets

There’s a print book giveaway this month for Hidden Secrets. Unfortunately, it’s only available in continental US and Canada, but if that works for you, check it out at The Suspense Zone. There are a few other suspense giveaways at the same link, for continental US residents only. [Giveaways end October 31, 2019]

And Susan Sleeman from The Suspense Zone also interviewed me. You can check out that conversation here.

If, by chance, you’re a NetGalley reviewer or if you know someone who is and who enjoys mystery/suspense, Hidden Secrets is available there during the month of October. Link: NetGalley. I’m really excited about this chance to get the book in front of some new-to-me reviewers.

Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you I’ve dropped the price of the ebook version of Unknown Enemy to 99 cents USD ($1.32 CAD and the equivalent worldwide). It’s available for Kindle, Kobo, Nook, and Apple, so please let your mystery/suspense-reading friends know! International buy link: Unknown Enemy.

Survivors and Overcomers—In Fiction and in Real Life

Violence against women, especially sexual violence, scares me. Even in fiction. So why is the heroine in my Green Dory Inn Mystery series a survivor of human trafficking? Short answer: I don’t know. Longer answer. I don’t know, but the idea kept popping up until I decided I’d better cooperate in case there was a …

International Women’s Day

Fiction-lovers, celebrate International Women’s Day with some strong female characters.

"Strong women. Extraordinary circumstances. Faith-filled fiction."
#Christiansuspense
Available in print and for Apple, Kindle, Kobo, and Nook.

Ruth: the prayer warrior abducted by a serial killer. (Heaven’s Prey)

Carol: the single mother targeted by a drug lord. (Secrets and Lies)

Amy: the plane crash survivor who suspects sabotage. (Without Proof)

Then there’s Landon: the young woman with a traumatic past, trying to solve the mysterious happenings at the Green Dory Inn. (Unknown Enemy)

I know there’s way more to International Women’s Day than reading fiction. But sometimes other women’s courage can inspire us… even if they’re fictional.

Field Trip: Unknown Enemy

Care for a whirlwind virtual tour of Lunenburg, NS?

The (fictional) Green Dory Inn is located outside of town, but the characters do venture in on occasion. Since I was curious what they might experience, I paid a few visits over the past year or so. If you pop over to the International Christian Fiction Writers blog, you can read my “Wandering Wednesdays” post — complete with photos. Here’s a sample:

The next installment of the series is now in the hands of my editor, and I hope not to keep readers waiting too long.

Cover Reveal: Unknown Enemy

Cover reveal for Unknown Enemy, Green Dory Inn Mystery book 1, releasing summer 2018 #Christiansuspense

Landon Smith vowed never to return to Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Despite her faith, the memories might undo her.

But a shadowy figure has been skulking around the Green Dory Inn—seen only by her friend Anna.

Loyalty demands she stand by this woman who’s been a second mother to her. No matter the cost.

With the police unable to find solid clues, and the incidents escalating, Landon must help Anna discover the truth about the prowler and stop him. Before he turns violent.

…coming summer 2018… this one’s novella-length, about 150 pages, so it’s a quick read.
