If introverts recharge their strength by being alone, and extroverts draw their energy from being around others, aren’t Christians designed to be ‘God-verts’? Theo-verts, if we want to keep with the Latin theme?
Drawing our strength from God, whether alone or in a group…. He’s an unending power supply.
Isaiah says “…those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31a, NIV)
Gladwell Musau of Rainbow Gulf of Love shared some key insights this week in her post, “Encourage Yourself in the Lord“. Check it out–you’ll be blessed.
Janet,
Wow. I am truly humbled by your kind gesture. Thank you, my sister.

Thank you for faithfully sharing what God give you, Gladwell. This particular post you shared is one of a few ways God has been touching me about this important idea.
Last night I started reading a new book, Majesty in Motion, subtitled “Creating an Encouragement Culture in All Your Relationships”, and encouraging ourselves and one another in God seems to be the key message. When I read this line, I thought of you and your post: “Encouragement is the result of a dynamic connection and intimate union of your heart with the heart of God.”
You are welcome. I am just doing the humble service He has given me. Yes..to stay encouraged and to encourage is a gift God has bestowed on me and uses me to touch others. I am glad you are getting blessed along the way. It seems you read a lot! When I hope to resume my reading when we move out of here…in a couple months.
God bless and have a great weekend!

An very thought-provoking insight. It’s going to sit in my mind for a long time. I hope it takes root and changes me. Thanks, once again, Janet, for your God-ward pointing comments!
I’m looking for roots and changes here too…
